In Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, there are two iconic stations which you might be interested in: Flinders Street and Southern Cross.
Flinders St, named for the street is runs along, is the main hub for the Melbourne Suburban train network, while Southern Cross (formerly Spencer St, the street it's on) is the main hub for the V/line regional Victoria train network, as well as the two interstate train services (to Adelaide, South Australia, and Sydney, New South Wales).

There are many nice stations in the UK with an aesthetic appeal that may pique your interest. Some of them are even 'listed' buildings, in that they are of particular historical / architectural importance. Although my mind's a big foggy to be able to think of any particular examples.

From station elements, you can add any type of
· railway turntables
( in extra zoom : download/file.php?id=209023 )
or combined with End of Track :
( viewtopic.php?t=85046 )
· roundhouse (maybe as a waypoint or built-up terminal station : viewtopic.php?p=1254210#p1254210 )
· multi-track traction without platform ( download/file.php?id=222274 )

BTW
At the passenger station, when the train is not moving, there is nothing on the platform,
and when the train stops, graphics of passengers appear on the platform - properly .
It could be the same with goods on freight ramp - check it out if you can .

Thanks everyone for the ideas, I have to investigate how to code multi-tile stations since until now I only made 1x1 modules.

Yes, but I will start working little by little, it will not be fast, I think that the trains are one of the main points of Openttd and perhaps what we players like the most, putting together tracks and seeing different trains running from here to there.

I would like to create a newgrf with a very good selection of train models, the TGV, which is the first, is a train that I really like, I will surely make other versions of the TGV and the AV as well.

In this sense, the forum members (as with the photos of the stations) feel free to make train suggestions too.

I want "Real Trains" to be a good train newgrf for Openttd, so that more players are attracted to 32bpp and maybe in the future there won't be so few of us creating 32bpp content.

Yes, actually when I discovered Transport Tycoon and started playing it, 98% of the transport was trains. So I'd stick with it even though this game can only be played with ships, planes, buses, etc.
Personally, I like trains the most!
The TGV is a wonderful train, much like the Japanese Shinkansen. German ICE or Italian high-speed trains are also nice.
But will you also create classic trains, i.e. slower ones? Because then I would have, for example, one Czech locomotive, which is called a bardotka, and I have not yet seen anyone make it in 32bpp graphics.
Anyway, please continue!

Hello, great modeling! thank you very much for the offer! I'm honest, I plan to make them lowpoly phototextured models, they are relatively quick to make and I would like to keep the same graphic style in all the models.

But I can give you my code and template so you can include it yourself in the game easily!

I am using 3 vehicles per locomotive / wagon basically 1 invisible vehicle + 1 visible vehicle (locomotive or wagon) + 1 invisible vehicle,
Surely there is a better method than practically repeating the same code / vehicle 3 times but I don't know.

For my Long Trucks I did the same and so far the result is satisfactory, For the trains I need to correct some code details but at least I have it working, meanwhile I am in the funniest part, modeling :)

It would not be a problem, surely I can find good photos to be able to model / texture it.

Current Progress, i started with some Union Pacific Locomotive, I plan to do the E9 too, wonderfull locomotive,
I also like the Santa Fe trains, their red, yellow and gray colors attract my attention. Shinkansen It´s in my list too.

I know there are a lot of things to do in 32bpp but at least for a while I want to focus on trains.

You might want to do it someday, a Rail network vehicle that drives around the station and does maintenance.
If you could recreate this train and it had the capacity of one person, it could stop at the station and take a service technician and I think it would raise the rating of the station .

Nothing fancy, just the good old Default Scanline Renderer from 3dsmax 2016, the scene has a target spot and a Skylight.

I could have set it in vray but since I started like this it's kind of like now I'm a prisoner of keeping the same graphic style, also I don't use any special material, everything is very basic.

I would have to see how it looks with vray... obviously better, but I want to avoid that later the styles do not combine with each other.

I don't think it's possible from the game code but in any case it's an locomotive idea.

Trains, as far as I know, are the most difficult to develop and draw, if they are to look at least as good to the world as GETS or CZTR, I see it for a year, just a guess. :)

Hi

Can anyone please explain how to make townCars AI to buy these cars? I understand that it only buys vechicles that cost 0 but these have a pricetag 3280. Help appreciated and sorry if I'm asking from the wrong place :)

Not only is this not helpful, it is often counterproductive. Especially if the author starts spending more time answering stupid questions than working on the project :D
