IRC meeting 2005-02-26 Saturday @ 1930 UTC on #tempire, Quakenet

Agenda:
  1. Pick chairman + minute maker
  2. Airports: how is they constructed? by modules or fixed?
  3. Docks (confirm decission)
  4. Research (confirm decission)
  5. Signalling (confirm decission)
  6. Finding routes and services
  7. Company rating (confirm decission)
  8. Liveries
  9. Vehicle breakdowns
  10. Computer players (confirm decission)
  11. Style
  12. Set next meeting and pick chairman + minute maker
  13. Deciding about the Design Document
  14. Pick a new Featured Discussion subject
Last meeting there was only 3 people and jfs was idle most of the time. So most decissions and discussions where made by me and Steve. Becuse of the low amount of attendants I think we cant make those decissions final without that more people agrees on them. Therfor I have just taken last meetings agenda and removed the points that was locked in the forum, and appended '(validate decission)' to the points where decissions have been made last meeting, but confirmation is nececarry.

If you have any comments to the agenda, please pring them up here, and remember to come prepered to the meeting. It should be a meeting about make decissions, not about discussions. So please use the forums and discuss before the meeting.

---

Unfortanly I won't be able to attend to the meeting becuse I will be at a orienteering camp next weekend.

Zuu, I think the agenda could use an update before the meeting starts. If you're smart you wait until 2 hours before the meeting, if people start a topic that short before the meeting they have to discuss it during AOB. No chairman and minuteman yet btw  ?

Perhaps someone should upload the logs, for those who don't know where to find them.

If jpl was at the meeting the whole night they should be at
http://jpl.yi.org/~jpl/tempire/tempire-2005-02-26
and maybe, at logs for sunda too:
http://jpl.yi.org/~jpl/tempire/tempire-2005-02-27

But as I havn't read them yet I don't know.

Black!

Anyway. I'm back in the land of the living.

I'm going to write the minutes today, so you can expect them to be ready around 20:00 UTC.

Hmm... over 1000 lines of log to process...

My brother and I intend to go to our parents this weekend but all depends on the weather. If we're forced to stay home I might be at the meeting, I'm not really in the mood for gambling anyhow.

I'll need the minutes to establish what's rolled over from the last meeting, and people to raise new points for discussion for this meeting.

We may also have to change the channel as well ...

I'm working on them! All items on the agenda have been processed except 6 (pathfinding) and 8 (liveries).

Why is that? Does it have anything to do with some American kid?

I think some changes are in order.

1) Better structure of the IRC channel. I agree with Chris, there is no sense in the current owners of the channel. Chairs and other important people are often not opped and such.

2) The minutes should be done by someone at the meeting. For the 2 weeks i did the minutes, you'll find they were on the forum by the morning after, including delays due to forum downtime. I accomplished this by writing them during the meeting. Set out a text document with the headings, leave it to take up the top 1/4 of the screen, the other 3/4 for the irc client. Make notes as you go, then go over it, tiding it up, making it make sense.
I'm sorry, but writing them 6 days after the meeting, when we have meetings every week, is just not good. You say it'll "make" you read the logs.. but there is no reason why you couldn't do that anyway.
